The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Xeomin in July 2011 for the treatment of severe frown lines or “11’s” between the eyes. XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults.*
IncobotulinumtoxinA is made from the bacteria that causes botulism. Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in muscle activity.
Typically Xeomin takes 2-3 days after injection. Effectiveness of product last 4 months.*
