Kylie Jenner’s lips craze is still going on. So it’s TIME to know the juicy details of lip fillers if you are really considering getting lip injections.
Dermal fillers are well known non surgical procedure that are gel like substance that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines, creases or enhance facial contour. For instant lips that are thin can instantly turn into plump thick lips. It’s crazy to think a simple injections can give you juicier lips. It does hurt! But the results are worth it.
Take it slow!
When it comes to fillers, you don’t want to jump a 180! Take it slow so you can avoid overly dramatic filled lips you’ll regret later on. Take time to recover! Take time to see how you like the results. Remember swelling does happen during the procedure so try to see the final results after two weeks. If you like after the swelling then come back for another round.
Prep Before Your Appointment!
The anxiety you might get before your appointment is normal! We all are worried if anything will go wrong but hoping for the best. We want to make sure you are 100% sure you want lip fillers, it not permanent but it does last 6 months to 2 years! Make sure before coming in, do not take any pain medications like ibuprofen, aspirin, Tylenol, etc. Medications like these will thin your blood and can cause more bruising than you want. You should also avoid alcohol, smoking or caffeine 24 hours before and after your appointment. If we can help reduce swelling as much as possible then why wouldn’t you stay away from these medications or habits. No make-up, perfume or moisturizer before coming in. Be clean and all natural!
You can numb before injections. Often times, you can cope with the pain but some people can not. If you decide on number cream make sure you tell your doctor, you want at least 30 minutes with the cream before injections. You would want to feel little to no pain but its not 100% painless.
Lip fillers is a quick procedure but girl it isn’t all easy peasy to come in and out like nothing happen. There is possibilities of cold sores or allergic reaction. Of course, if you are pron to cold sore then you have a higher chance of a minor break out. It nothing to freak out about! Take some cold sore medications and it should go away in about three days. We suggest getting some ice packs or munching on ice cubes to help with swelling. We also recommend not working out, or drinking, smoking after the injections. Give it about 48 hrs! Drink plenty of water. No kissing, please! Let your lips recover first.
