RADIO FREQUENCY MICRONEEDLING FAQ

How does Radio Frequency Microneedling work?

Radio Frequency Microneedling tightens and plumps aging skin by stimulating tissue repair. Tiny needles and heat produced by the radiofrequency energy join forces to help rebuild collagen. When the skin senses these small, painless micro-injuries in the skin after the microneedling treatment, collagen production is triggered. Over the next months, the skin becomes stronger and tightens up. Wrinkles, scars, pores, and fine lines appear softer, and skin texture improves.

What can you expect with Radio Frequency Microneedling?

You will be required to come in at least 30-minutes before your scheduled treatment for a local anesthesia ointment to be applied to the area being treated. Your medical professional may capture photographs of the soon-to-be treated area(s).

Once the treatment has started, your Registered Nurse will stamp tiny, microscopic punctures into the skin’s surface. This creates very small micro-injuries in the layers of skin that are responsible for producing collagen and elastin — two essential proteins that are the foundation of plump, firm, elastic skin. Since microneedling uses fine needles to create channels in the skin, it allows the radiofrequency energy (RF) to reach deep within the skin, further promoting skin repair. The result is stronger, firmer skin with a more refined skin texture and a luminous glow.

After the treatment, your Registered Nurse will apply Hyaluronic Acid to the treated area.
